Art, Architecture and Geography
by Luisa Brando
Luisa Brando is dedicated to producing art and architecture projects sensitive to landscape and heritage conservation. Working between disciplines and geographies, her site responsive work invokes to reflect upon the territory and the poetics of habitation. Over the last seven years she has worked closely with rivers and ruins, thinking of the multiplicity of time across different living beings, and the correlation between memory, livelihood and territory. Currently she is interested in working across creative projects that challenge the division lines between nature and culture, designing spaces and images that help us connect better to the territory. Brando currently lives in Madrid, and collaborates with múltiple urban planners, architects, artists and biologists in Madrid, Colombia, England and New York.
